Membership Covenant
My Salvation
- I believe that in my natural state, I am a sinner separated from God (Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23). No amount of good works can make me right with God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
- I believe that Jesus is the divine Son of God (Matthew 16:16-17; John 4:25), who died in my place as a sinless sacrifice for my sin (John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18) and rose again from the grave (Romans 4:25). Jesus is who He said He was and did what He said He did.
- Subsequently, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. By that, I have repented of my sin (Acts 3:19), placed my faith in Jesus (Romans 3:22; Ephesians 2:8), and surrendered my life fully to Him (Matthew 7:21; Romans 10:9-10).
My Promise
- I will be obedient to Christ by observing Believer’s Baptism (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41, 8:12).
- I will be submissive to the authority of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12).
- I will be respectful of the church and its leadership (Hebrews 13:7,17)
- I will be committed in my attendance and my service (Acts 2:46; Hebrews 10:23-25).
- I will be supportive by praying for my church family and its growth (Ephesians 6:18).
- I will be faithful to exercise my gifts in ministry (Romans 12:1-8; 1 Peter 4:10).
- I will be receptive by inviting and welcoming newcomers (Matthew 28:18; Colossians 4:5).
- I will be considerate in interacting with my church family (John 13:35; Galatians 6:9-10).
- I will be responsible by giving regularly (Malachi 3:10, Matthew 23:23; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
- I will be sensitive to the testimony of Jesus Christ and his Church (Romans 16:19; 1 Thessalonians 1:7).
